Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland awarded GOLD at the Considerate Constructors 2016 National Site Awards

Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland celebrated success at the Considerate Constructors Scheme 2016 National Site Awards for its active London projects.

Teams from the Ferrovial Agroman Q6 Heathrow, Ferrovial Agroman Laing O'Rourke (FLo) Northern Line Extension and Bam Ferrovial Kier (BFK) Farringdon Station sites were all presented with an award during the Considerate Constructors Awards Ceremony held in London on 19 and 20 April 2016. The events were attended by clients and contractors from the construction industry. Q6 Team

Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland Managing Director, Mario Mostoles, said, "This remarkable achievement recognises the ongoing commitment on our sites to improve the image of construction and deliver our projects safely and to the highest standards.

"It is great testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams to be recognised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme and our peers in the construction sector."

Members of the Q6 team at Heathrow Airport collected their Gold Award for the Terminal 5 N2 Car Park; receiving comments from the Scheme's judges which said, "In every area of this well-managed and well-presented site there was an obvious determination to consistently improve performance".

Tom Philpotts, Environmental Manager of the BFK Farringdon project was proud to collect their Gold Award and the whole team was invited to collect the ‘Runner-Up' Award for Most Considerate Site. C435 Farringdon awards

The Farringdon site team have experience in these awards as this is the third consecutive year they have received this prestigious recognition. In previous ceremonies they were presented with Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. 

Three of the FLO Northern Line Extension sites have been recognised by the CCS this year; Montford place and Kennington Park and Kennington Green sites, Nine Elms and Battersea all receiving Bronze.

Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Director, Robert Hackett, said, "All sites recognised by the CCS this year received excellent and exceptional scores following their assessments over the past 12 months. This is above industry average and shows the exemplary standards upheld on our sites.

Northern Line extension team celebrate their award"We will have the opportunity to demonstrate our continuous drive for improvements on our sites in the upcoming assessments and should aim for further recognition in the 2017 National Site Awards".

The awards, set up in 1999, are designed to encourage businesses operating in the sector to improve the image of construction. The judges focus on the health, safety and environmental aspects of the works carried out, as well as emphasising the importance of a company's community engagement commitments and valuing the workforce.
